The GIFT 2.0 Smart Planner app is freely available from the iOS AppStore for all devices running iOS 8 or later. The application proposes points of interest and in-between routes to users, based on their preferences and starting from a selected city. Using sliders, the user can adjust the desired quantity of each kind of destinations. Available options are: None, Some, Average, Plenty Of. After the adjustments are complete, he can press Submit to get to the next screen. There is a route costs screen that allows the user to adjust time and budget availability for the route. After the smart planner algorithm is executed, the mobile application presents the results using a Suggested POIs table. The table contains the suggested POIs, the matched times of arrival and the in-between route means of transportation (bicycle, taxi, bus). Pressing on each table entry (i.e. the name of each POI), the application presents a rich scrollable page of information. On the top of the page is a scrollable pictures gallery, followed by the title and a textual description of the selected POI. To the right of each route in the Suggested POIs table there is a Trip Planner integration button. By pressing this button the application uses the in-app web browser to communicate with the Trip Planner and perform a query for the selected route.
